The case for the cropped blazer
1 min readYEG Textile

Why we cut our tailoring short — and how to wear it with a high-rise trouser.
A classic blazer ends at the seat. Ours end at the waist — on purpose.
Proportion over rules
Cutting the jacket short raises the visual waistline and lets a wide, high-rise trouser fall uninterrupted to the floor. The result is a longer, cleaner line.
How to wear it
- Keep the trouser high: the jacket should meet the waistband, not float above it.
- Go tonal: the same cloth top and bottom makes the silhouette read as one piece.
- Let the collar do the work: a contrast ecru collar is all the detail you need.
The best tailoring changes how you stand.
